How to Use Oil in a Sauna
Only use aroma oils specifically
designed for saunas. Oils meant for diffusers are not suitable.
Oil should never be applied directly to the sauna stones.
Here are the recommended methods:
- Using an Ice Sphere: Add 3-4 drops of Bergila oil
onto the ice sphere. The oil will evaporate and disperse its aroma
throughout the sauna. Ensure the oil is on top of the ice sphere when
placing it on the sauna heater.
- Using a Bottle with Warm Water: Prepare a bottle with
lukewarm water (25°C/77°F) and add 2-3 drops of oil. Shake the bottle
well. First, pour a small amount of plain water onto the stones. Then
shake the bottle again and pour the mixture onto the heater. Use a glass
bottle (330 ml to 500 ml) and add 3-4 drops of oil.
Important
Safety Note:
- Oil applied directly to the
stones can ignite. A fire blanket is available in the changing room. Use
it to smother the flames.
- Do not pour water on the stones
if a fire occurs.
